Summer Horse Camp

Our Summer Horse Camp has been in operation for over 35 years. Nominated for favorite summer horse camp in years passed, parents and campers continue to enjoy the safe, fun and nurturing environment we provide.

Whether your child has never experienced the world of horses, is "Horse Crazy" or currently taking riding lessons, our camp offers something for all ages and ability levels. Beginner campers will learn the basics while more advanced riders will be challenged and discover something new. We want your child to have a memorable camp experience full of horses, riding and hands on learning.

Riding Lesson:

Each day campers will have a riding lesson on a horse of their choice. Our closely supervised instruction will provide students with a solid riding foundation and the necessary skills to communicate properly with their horse. Beginner level riders will have a 1 to 1 ratio with a leader while intermediate and advanced level riders will have a 1 to 3 ratio. Our facility has 3 riding arenas, one of which is indoors for inclement weather.

Demonstrations:

Scheduled through out the week campers look forward to enjoying and learning from a number of demonstrations. During the farrier demonstration, campers will experience/witness a horse having his feet cared for and prepares for a new set of shoes. Campers will also enjoy watching professional riders.

Contests:

In an effort to make learning fun and exciting for our campers, we have designed a number of contests for campers to participate in and win prizes throughout the week. Some of our camp favorites are the horseless horse show, the grooming contest, the question and answer and the scavenger hunt.

Arts & Crafts:

Each day, campers will delight in a number of horse related artistic creations. Campers will also enjoy putting together and decorating a keepsake journal capturing their horse knowledge and special memories of their friends, horses and experiences.

Professional Photographs:

Each week a professional photographer will visit the farm to take pictures. Campers will embellish picture frames during our arts & crafts section.
